I drive 25 miles just to go to Rural King... They have nearly anything you need.. I always spend more than I planned on everytime I walk in the door.. It is the best place to buy 12 volt batteries for farm and auto..
I don't like the policy changes on busted bag products, at Lowe's busted bag products are 50 % off regular price not just 10 %. The service desk and registers need reconfigured for better efficiency. The gun area would be better served if it was closer to the front of the store instead in the back. Simply because a gun associate has carry your purchase to the door after you buy to escort you out with it. That takes away help from the area for too long.
Only bad thing I can say is this guy I asked to help me find solder for plumbing he takes me to the tool section and shows me solder with lead in it and then tells me they don't make lead fee.....
I go there about once or twice a month. They usually have what I'm looking for. If not, I go to the one in Waverly. It's a good drive down there, but we'll worth it.
Our local Rural King has had a change of Store Manager we were told by staff. They have always advertised a free pig ear or small dog biscuit when you bring your dog with you. The new Store Manager has changed the policy. We shop there at least once every weekend with our dog. The Manager needs to rethink this policy change!
Never had a bad experience other than being out of the pet food I buy. Since the store manager changed the service has improved, the aisles aren't blocked with merchandise that never gets put away anymore. The floors are clean now, the mice running around are either fewer or gone because i dont see them these days. My pet food has not been out of stock with the changes. I like the improvements. I come from a warehousing and merchandising background, this store has made a great turn around the last few months and I hope more is yet to come.
