Worst experience I have ever had. I came in today with chest pains. The ER dr wanted to run some tests. The nurse took my blood and then the dr came back in with some news. The dr proceeded to tell my husband and I that we were pregnant. We were overjoyed with this news. Then a couple hours later, after being poked and prodded by over 6 other nurses because none of them could find a vein, the dr came back to tell us my blood work had been mixed up with someone else’s and we were NOT pregnant!!!! I will never go back to this hospital. I can’t believe the level of incompetence and lack of professionalism at this pathetic excuse for a medical establishment. The ER dr should be lose his certifications. I guess the joke, “What do you call the dr who graduated lowest in their class? A dr.” Came from someone’s experience with a Berger Dr.
Daniel Marcum, one of the ER physicians, over night I am assuming, needs to find a new profession. Not quite sure why you wasted so much time out of your life and money to become a doctor if you just want to be a prick to people. I bring my 17month old son in because he has a fever of 101 and you ask my wife and I what we want you to do about it, or what do we think will happen to him? How about you try finding out what's wrong with him first off, and then reassure the parents as to what is going on and let us know you're going to help our sick child. We don't come to the hospital to be talked down to like we're ignorant. To hell with you sir and I hope your life is as s**t as you make it seem.
One star might be too generous. I was in an automobile accident last Saturday and was taken by squad to Berger's ER where upon I sat for over 3 hours waiting to be seen. I was not bleeding nor was I carrying on or yelling out in pain. I sat quietly, waiting. I overheard, as I sat on a gurney in the hallway by the nurses station, that I was "too cute" and "didn't look too badly hurt" and "she's from out of town". When I asked after 3 hours when would the DR see me I was told he was busy. I decided to leave and come back to Columbus for help. I was calm, respectful and kind to the staff. However, in turn, they were discriminatory towards me. Evidently, if you are from out of town and are in need of emergency services . . . Berger is not the place to go. I give them a failing grade and am completely dissatisfied and dismayed. They are not committed to providing exceptional care with compassion as they attest to on their website.
I've delivered my last 3 children at Berger hospital. The oldest is almost 7 and the youngest is only 6 days old. The labor and delivery department is amazing. I love my Dr.. Dr goldfarb so much I drove 45 min to deliver my last 2 children and almost 2 yr old and my 6 day old. The whole staff here has always taken really good care of not only me but my babies and my husband. The nurses are very friendly and actually care about how you are feeling. The anesthesiologist was amazing. I had to deliver by c section all 3 x. All 5 of my kids were delivered by c section and I love this hospital. Wish all my kids would have been delivered here. Highly recommend all the obgyn's at Berger and this labor and delivery.
Was told I could come in anytime for a nst(non stress test) I'm high risk i went in early on a Sunday morning because I have been having some sharp pains and decreased fetal movement. The nurse told me to hold on and came back asking me to come back later or tomorrow. I hadn't even told her about the desreased fetal movement yet she knew nothing other than I needed an nst. I told her I couldnt due to my husband working and we have no one to watch our 3 year old. I told her I drove 40 minutes and can't afford to waste the trip back. I was so mad at the moment I just said fine and left. I was told I could come any time and when I called to get her name the lady said she didn't know who the nurse was I talked to and became rude to me. Said they had an emergency c section and we're short on nurses. We'll the entire time I was standing there there had been a male nurse sitting on a computer. He could have hooked me up quickly and left like they do every time I get one. 5 minutes or less is what it takes to hook you up and get your vitals. I have had no other problems at all with their labor and delivery the nurses I normally see are very awesome and usually never that busy. If my baby doesn't kick in a few hours I'll be wasting more gas and taking my son alone while I'm hooked up and can't get out of bed. But I'll be going to Adena where I don't want to go and never had any good experiences with. I am not happy with being not important enough or the excuse that they didn't have enough nurses. Now I'm worried they will treat me differently because I had an issue. How would you feel if you were given paperwork to come in with desreased fetal movement and they were too busy to see you. Not important is how I feel. I won't be coming back to this place ever after my c section next month and will not tell anyone to give then a try. I literally am just trying to make sure my baby is ok. And if I had the money to stretch to payday I would go right back in . When I called two hours later they said they weren't busy. I've had a c section before it took 40 minutes or less. Why didn't she just ask me to wait an hour or two instead of come back later today. If I would have gotten to speak to them and tell them I had decreased movement I bet they would have suddenly had time and nurses. I called to report to their patient advocate I hope to hear back tomorrow. If something is wrong with my baby and they didn't have time I will be contacting a lawyer and getting the nurses name and sueing her and the hospital. Funny they didn't have many nurses but the woman had no idea which nurse it was when I described her to this woman. I think it was her. I won't be letting her treat me or touch my child when he's born! Not happy with that place at all.
